Morningstar's Data Chief Heads Out

by: Erin Kello

The president of Morningstar’s data division is saying goodbye. Liz Kirscher, 47, who has run the company’s data division since 2000 will leave the Chicago-based mutual fund ratings specialist in June.

Morningstar plans to announce Kirscher's successor in the coming months.

"Morningstar has been a huge part of my life and I'm lucky to have found such a great match where I could enjoy many years of contributing to Morningstar's success. It's a family I've been part of longer than my marriage and my kids, and I love it here," Kitscher stated. "The main driver of my decision is the opportunity to spend more time with my parents, my husband, and my children. I will miss having a court-side seat to watch many of the exciting things under way at Morningstar, but the Data team is in great shape with strong, capable leaders."

Kirscher joined Morningstar in 1995 as a member of the company's institutional sales team.
