Five Fund Firms Re-Up With SEI

Reported by Neil Anderson, Managing Editor

Five mutual fund firms just extended their "full-service operational outsourcing" contracts with SEI. Today the Oaks, Pennsylvania-based outsourcing specialists revealed that Analytic Investors [see profile], C.S. McKee [see profile], Champlain Investment Partners [see profile], Rice Hall James & Associates [see profile] and Westwood Management Corp. [see profile] all made long-term contract extensions through SEI's Advisors' Inner Circle Fund series trust offering.

An official with Champlain declined to comment for this story, citing the firm's "no press policy." And spokespeople for Rice Hall James and Westwood also declined to comment. The MFWire could not immediately reach Analytic Investors chairman Roger Clarke or C.S. McKee president Mark Gensheimer for comment.

According to John Alshefski, senior vice president in SEI's investment manager services division, SEI's AIC offering has been available for more than 18 years.

Company Press Release

OAKS, Pa., March 14, 2011 -- SEI today announced that it has secured long-term contract extensions with several existing mutual fund clients to provide full-service operational outsourcing through the company's Advisors' Inner Circle FundŽ (AIC) series trust offering.  These multiple contract extensions, along with the two new series trust clients SEI signed recently, reflect a strong, continuing industry movement towards turnkey operational outsourcing, while also reinforcing the company's leadership position in the space.

Among the clients with whom SEI secured long-term outsourcing relationships are: Westwood Management Corp.; Rice Hall James & Associates, LLC; C.S. McKee, L.P.; Champlain Investment Partners, LLC; and Analytic Investors, LLC. In each instance the outsourcing services will be provided through SEI's AIC series trust. Amid the recent market volatility and increasingly complex regulatory environment, the comprehensive nature of the AIC solution coupled with SEI's extensive expertise allows clients to navigate through business challenges and capitalize on opportunities.

"We are proud of the long-term relationships we've established with our clients," said John Alshefski, Senior Vice President, SEI's Investment Manager Services division.  "SEI has offered its AIC series trust solution for more than 18 years to managers who want the confidence and scalability of an institutional-quality infrastructure, while also gaining the added benefit of SEI's deep compliance expertise.  The firms who select AIC join a group of high-quality managers who rely on our knowledge and consultative approach to help their businesses thrive.  We look forward to helping them continue to grow for years to come."
