Milwaukee-based Nicholas Co. will added a seventh fund to its family, according to a filing made with the SEC. The new fund will be the Nicholas Focus Fund and follow a growth mandate. Mark Giese will manage the fund.



Evergreen Investments, Wachovia's investment management unit, has hired a trio of executives to bolster its sales and marketing teams. Peter Miklos comes from Bank of America as managing director of investment client management, former-Wellington Management exec Elizabeth Barrett is a new director of consultant relations, Joseph Karpinski, joins the firm from formerly of Ernst & Young as director of regional sales.



Delaware Investments has opened its new Small Cap Growth Fund. The fund is intended to complement the $1 billion Delaware Trend Fund. Gerald S. Frey, managing director, chief investment officer, Growth Investing is the lead manager of the team of portfolio managers.
