Forward Funds has added another executive to its team. The hiring is part of a series of executive hirings which has included a new name, a new chief executive, a new head marketer and now a new sales head. The new hire is Richard Duff who joined the firm from Nicholas-Applegate Managed Accounts, where he was senior vice president and national sales manager.

Duff will run Forward Fund's sales and client service teams, which are themselves growing. The hire is part of a larger effort to expand Forward's sales and marketing resources, explained Alan Reid, president. "Mr. Duff has a proven record of success,� said Reid. "He will have an immediate and lasting impact on our growing business."

The firm is also building its presence in the managed accounts arena, which should make Duff feel right at home. His first effort in the area will likely be focused on a new separate account push featuring Hoover Investment Management.
