Palo Alto, California-based Kelmoore Investment Company is not letting the collapse of the Silicon Valley economy or the slowdown in the fund business put the kibosh on its hiring plans. The firm has added another five outside wholesalers and two inside reps. The hirings are a part of a build out of the firm's team.

The new wholesalers, who each take the title of regional vice president, are:

Kevin Burke who he will cover Kentucky and Ohio from the Cincinnati area. He was most recently vice president of Institutional Sales for Monument Funds Distributors.

Kenneth E. Hanson will cover the Dakotas and Minnesota. He has held positions at First Minnesota Savings Bank, Murphey Favre, Fortis, Aegon Advisor Resources, and First Variable Life.

Debbie A. Marler will be covering the Northern California territory, which includes the areas from Fresno to the northern border. Prior to joining Kelmoore she was a wholesaler with CDC Nvest Funds and the Delaware Group.

Sean J. McCloskey will cover Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island from the Boston area. Kelmoore did not disclose his prior employer.

Frank Nespoli will cover south Texas and Louisiana. Prior to joining Kelmoore he was a wholesaler with Munder Capital Management.

Chad Wickliffe will cover Kansas and Missouri from Kansas City. Previous to Kelmoore he held positions at JP Morgan and Prudential Securities.

The two new inside wholesalers are:

Cash Lambin has been hired as senior inside sales representative to work with brokers in the states of Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, and Nevada. Prior to joining Kelmoore he worked at First Southwest Company and CIBC Oppenheimer.

Melissa Wheeler was promoted to the post from her job as administrative sales associate and conference coordinator in May. She now works jointly with three regional vice presidents and her sales duties encompass territories stretching from the Pacific Northwest through Minnesota.
