Invesco Funds Group has made some more headway in the insurance business with a rash of annuity placements. Officials at the firm have been unavailable for comment.

Sun Life Financial (Toronto) has signed on Invesco's Dynamics, Small Company Growth, Technology, Telecommunications, Energy, and Health Sciences Funds.

The Dynamics Fund has also scored a spot with Annuity Investors (Cincinnati, Ohio), AUL (Indianapolis, Indiana), American National (Galveston, Texas), and First Variable Life (Oak Brook, Illinois). Why the run on this particular fund?

"The importance of a strong mid-cap growth portfolio in an asset allocation model cannot be underestimated," said Tom Kolbe, vice president and manager of institutional sales for Invesco Funds in a statement. "We are gratified that many of the insurance industry recognize our ability to provide a superior product in the mid-cap category."
