Banc of America Investment Services, the Charlotte, North Carolina retail brokerage arm of the Golden State parent, is ballooning its ranks of brokers, primarily in California. The firm plans on adding 200 brokers, boosting the existing sales force by 25 percent; BofA is also planning on adding 1,000 licensed reps at branches, a 40 percent hike. (added 10:52 AM 2/26)
