RS Investment Management (RSIM) has replaced its marketing manager. The boutique firm has hired
Amy Hyde, previously the marketing programs coordinator at
burst.com, a San Francisco streaming media software producer. Hyde departed the firm after it... burst. The new financial services job should be familiar to Hyde who previously held a customer service post at Montgomery Asset Management.
Hyde came to the firm several weeks ago, replacing the manager whom a spokesperson declined to name. As part of her duties, Hyde also hired a marketing assistant.
The firm, with just over $6 billion in assets under management, has not yet geared up its marketing function. RSIM does not have an executive in charge of marketing but will look to do so as the firm's assets accrue.
"We're a small fund group, so right now, I don't think there's a need for it," said the official. "Maybe sometime out when assets grow, we can consider it."
