Real Time Mutual Funds, a software vendor which is attempting to facilitate the entry of fund firms into the fast-growing the exchange-traded fund (ETF) market, has rolled out software which calculates estimated net asset values (NAVs) of an ETF in real time.
The program is dubbed "eNAV" and is designed to disseminate real-time NAVs to websites and exchange floors. In addition, eNAV integrates fund management and analysis tools such as portfolio-defined filters which improve control over the timing and display of portfolio holdings.
"For the first time, mutual fund complexes have access to a secure, reliable and accurate system," claimed
Kevin Bander, Real Time Mutual Funds' chief executive officer.
He added, "while ETFs are currently based on index funds, we believe that our eNAV technology will help facilitate the growth of the actively-managed ETF market." The eNAV software complements RTMF's existing services, which Bander expects to increase in demand in the burgeoning ETF industry.
