Web Communities to Open Fund
From Wall Street Journal
Two investor Web communities -- iExchange and InteractiveFunds.com -- are getting together to launch a mutual fund. Together, the two sites have about 10,000 members. InteractiveFunds.com rates the stock picks of individuals based on accuracy and consistency. IExchange allows individuals to exchange research. The fund will base its investments on data mined from iExchange's network members.

Deutsche Bank Mulls Retail Push to Boost Funds

Deutsche Bank is returning to the retail fold. The German bank is working on a pan-European outlet for stocks, mutual funds and other investment products, according to the paper which reported that CEO Rolf Breuer submitted the plan to the bank's supervisory board this morning. Earlier, Breuer had planned to sell off a stake in Deutsche Bank 24 so the latest plan represents a reversal in strategy. The plan is an attempt to boost sales in the bank's fund group and turn-around the asset management division led by Michael Philipp.

One Fund Profiled
From Wall Street Journal
Larry Baumgartner, manager of One Group Small Cap Value Fund, is the subject of a profile in today's fund column in the paper. It reports that he sees "tremendous values" in the stock market. Trucking, and oil-refining are two of the sectors that he is watching.
