At the end of July,
Pioneer unveiled a reorganization of its sales force in which it doubled the number of sales regions, named two new regional heads and said that it would add 30 sales and support positions. At that time it also said it would announcing a new sales head in a "couple weeks."
That new head is
Daniel Dart, most recently at
Alliance Capital Management where he was senior vice president and national sales manager of the financial advisors division. Dart will serve as executive vice president and national sales manager at Pioneer and will report to Steven M. Graziano, president of Pioneer Funds Distributor, Inc., the firm's distribution arm. Dart will be responsible for Pioneer's US retail sales, including key distributor relationships, said the company.
Dart will oversee Pioneer's new sales structure, which includes four regions under
William Spencer,
Nate Algiere,
Sherwood "Woody" Harris, and
Jeffrey Saunders.
"Dan has successfully guided a mutual fund sales force in today's competitive marketplace," said Graziano. "He understands the opportunities this challenging environment presents and how Pioneer can capitalize on them. With Dan on our team, I am confident that we can reach and surpass our sales goals."
