INVESCO Funds is expanding its wholesaler force with three new additions to the product distribution team, the company has announced. It has also hired
Tom Kolbe as vice president and manager of institutional sales, a newly created position.
Kolbe will manage the marketing of the firm's products to insurance companies, banks, and other institutional clients and is charged with building the firm's variable annuity and separate accounts business. He joins INVESCO from
Protective Life Insurance in Birmingham, Alabama.
The new wholesalers are:
Michael Brugman, vice president, senior wholesaler, responsible for New York City and Long Island;
Dean Phillips, vice president, senior regional wholesaler, responsible for the region that includes Southern Florida and Puerto Rico;
Christopher Quinson, vice president, regional wholesaler, handling the New Jersey territory.
Most recently, Brugman was an external wholesaler with
Conseco Capital Management, covering New York City, Westchester County, Long Island and Connecticut. Phillips comes from
Aetna Financial Services, where he covered Florida, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. Quinson joins INVESCO from
OppenheimerFunds, where he was responsible for 13 states in the northeast.
INVESCO has added 18 new wholesalers over the last year, according to
Ray Cunningham, national sales manager for INVESCO.
