Peter Moeller, the former head of US sales for
Deutsche Bank, has been hired by
New York Life's
MainStay Funds as managing director and executive vice president of sales, overseeing all sales and distribution of the $20 billion MainStay family.
Moeller comes to MainStay from
ResourcePhoenix.com, which provides back office automation for the financial services industry, where he headed the company's Eastern sales business. Moeller had previously been head of US sales for Deutsche Bank's mutual funds, but had lost that position after the company bought
Bankers Trust in mid- 1999.
Mainstay Funds are a part of the newly formed
New York Life Asset Management unit of New York Life, which brings together all of the firm's asset managers, including: MainStay,
MacKay Shields,
New York Life Benefit Services,
Monitor Capital Advisors,
Madison Square Advisors, stable value, and the securities and real estate groups.
