SunGard continues to expand its transactional network. The firm has added the
IDEÉ software to allow investment managers to connect with multiple brokers through
SunGard Direct. IDEÉ is a product of
décalog, a unit of SunGard.
The system is designed so that orders can be electronically routed to participating brokers via the system. Brokers can send back electronic confirmations that automatically update the investment managers' back-office systems.
The system comes at no additional cost to investment managers utilizing the SunGard Direct product.
With this latest deployment, officials at SunGard believe that between SunGard Direct,
INVEST ONE (which is a back-office investment accounting system) and IDEÉ they now provide investment managers with an end-to-end straight-through processing solution.
