Raymond J. Sims has been named as the cfo for
Financial Engines, Inc. Sims previously served as a senior vice president at
Raychem Corporation, where he successfully negotiated a transaction with
Tyco (NYSE:
TYC)for the acquisition of Raychem.
Sims will report to
Jeff Maggioncalda, president and CEO.
"Financial Engines' rapid growth and success called for a senior executive to take on the role of managing the company's key financial and investor relations goals," Maggioncalda stated. "Ray's experience in growing businesses and managing the capital needs of a major corporation will be invaluable as we scale our company."
Sims is the first to hold the position of cfo at Financial Engines. Members of his new team report that Sims has an excellent sense of humor. In response to a question about his golf handicap, he responded, "How high do they go?"
