Fidelity Investments Institutional Services Company (FIIS) has just unveiled a new program designed to help financial advisors build their businesses.
BusinessPulse, which was rolled out at the beginning of the month, is designed to provide financial advisors with educational materials and client marketing support.
BusinessPulse has several components, including a quarterly magazine dedicated to delivering sales and marketing strategies, new fund updates and seminar kits.
"BusinessPulse is designed to provide advisors with the resources they need to help them differentiate themselves in the marketplace and build their overall book of business," said
Dan Geraci, executive vice president of distribution and marketing communications at FIIS.
The program has new tools that educates advisors on various themes, such as international investing or retirement planning. For each theme, Business Pulse then educate advisors on business opportunities and how to capitalize on each focused theme and provides point-of-sale materials.
Jeff Cathie, a spokesperson for Fidelity said, "There were three things that came out in focus groups: our need to promote advice and the value of an advisor to the public, advisors desire for tools to help them sell and also for tools to help them build their business."
The new site product is free to all advisors who trade do business with Fidelity. Additional components of the program include brochures which give an advisor a snapshot of Fido's 41 advisor funds, seminar kits that include information and resources on how to conduct a successful seminar and individual fund prospectuses, replacing the old system of combined prospectuses for all Advisor Funds.
Advisors also receive the
FundPulse Monthly Performance Update - a supplement to the quarterly FundPulse publication, that provides updated monthly performance updates on Fidelity Advisor Fund performance.
The service also includes the redesigned
AdvisorXpress web site with 24-hour-a-day access to BusinessPulse online, as well as client account information. It offers a more detailed six-step business-building methodology for each opportunity that Fidelity features.
Every quarter the content will be geared towards a different topic. The current theme is international investing, with retirement to follow.
