Merrill Taps Oppenheimer for CIO

Merrill Lynch Asset Management, is going to hire Robert C. Doll as chief investment officer for stocks, the
WSJ reports. Doll has been the chief investment officer for OppenheimerFunds for the past six months. He has been at OppenheimerFunds for twelve years. Meanwhile, OppenheimerFunds will name O. Leonard Darling as its new CIO. He currently heads Harbour View Asset Management, OppenheimerFunds' institutional money-management arm.
Outsiders usually find ethical lapses

Seventy five percent of investment firm executives say personal trading, insider trading and fraudulent financial reporting are areas of "high concern". The figure is based on a PricewaterhouseCoopers survey of executives at 65 leading U.S. investment firms. The survey also found that most ethical lapses are not discovered inside the institution, but are instead pointed out by outsiders such as regulators and customers.
