Gabelli Funds, Inc. has named Dr. Raffaele Pisacane vice president and chief technology officer, a position created for him. Before joining Gabelli, Pisacane had developed S&P's Personal Wealth Internet site. His stated duties are responsibility for the "ongoing development of Gabelli's online information services and telecommunications technology."

"One of the goals of this endeavor is to increase investor access to Gabelli mutual funds, Gabelli & Company research and its money management services on the Internet. We also want to enable investors to interface directly with Mario Gabelli, Howard Ward, Caesar Bryan, Marc Gabelli and other fund managers," Pisacane said.

Citing policy, a spokesperson for Gabelli would not comment on additional details of the hiring. Presumably Pisacane's main priority will be to improve Gabelli's on-line presence through an improved and up-dated web-site, as the current version is lackluster at best.
