Mutual fund information provider
Lipper Inc. plans to ally with
Zacks.com and the
Data Broadcasting Corporation (
DBCC). According to terms of the deal, DBC will use Lipper content to develop a new "Web Mutual Fund Center." Zacks.com will distribute the mutual fund center via its Financial Web Network, which includes more than 700 sites.
"The Lipper content and the DBC development combined with the Marketing and distribution pipeline already in place at Zacks.com, make for an extremely successful and mutually beneficial relationship for all parties involved," said
Evan Rullman, vice president of business development with Zacks.com. "Investors will now have access to the most comprehensive mutual fund data available, from many more channels on the Internet."
The mutual fund center will offer investors access to different levels of Lipper data, covering all fund family and portfolio manager information, fiscal and distribution data, fees and expenses, risk measures, and performance rankings ("Lipper Leaders and Laggards"). Data will be available in multi-tiered turnkey systems and raw data feeds.
