Scudder Kemper Investments has hired
Peter Minton as head of global bond research, responsible for maintaining the quality and consistency of all bond research. Minton, who will be based in Chicago, will report to
Scott Roberts, head of the firm's fixed-income institutional products, including all Zurich U.S. assets. His responsibilities will span all of Scudder Kemper Investments' fixed-income interests including the institutional and mutual fund businesses.

quantitative and fundamental research skills to the task of refining the application of bond research to the process of portfolio construction."
The fixed-income research group will be based in Chicago, centralizing many of Scudder's bond resources in one location.
Minton joins Scudder Kemper Investments from
General Re New England Asset Management, where he has been chief investment officer. Prior to that, he was head of global fixed income strategy research at
Morgan Stanley.
