Gabelli Asset Management (NYSE: GBL) of Rye, New York has named Barbara G. Marcin to manage a new value fund, the Gabelli Blue Chip Value Fund. The goal of the fund will be to seek long-term capital appreciation from "value style" equity investments.

Prior to this posting, Marcin headed value investments at Citibank Global Asset Management. She managed mid- and large-cap equities in value-style mutual funds such as Citifunds Growth and Income Fund (CIGIX) and the Citifunds Balanced Fund (CFBPX).

"Barbara is a high profile addition to our highly accomplished group of portfolio managers, and expands the scope of the value side of our investments," Mario J. Gabelli, ceo of Gabelli stated.
