MainStay Funds distributor, NYLIFE Distributors, Inc. has hired a new national sales manager from New York-based Seligman Financial Services.

David Gardner, 36, will oversee all sales and marketing activities for the broker-dealer and wirehouse channels served by the MainStay sales force for the western region.

Brian Wixted, formerly head of funds administration at BT Alex Brown, has joined OppenheimerFunds, Inc. as a senior vice president, finance, and treasurer, reporting to Jeremy Griffiths, chief financial officer and executive vice president.
