After his presentation on mutual fund fees disclosure at Tuesday's Securities and Exchange roundtable on mutual funds, Robert Pozen, president of Fidelity's fund group called for closer scrutiny of fees in the hedge fund business. Pozen is quoted in
TheStreet.com as saying, "I'd like to see him have the political courage to take on the hedge funds."
Pozen was reported to point out the detailed fee disclosures that funds must already provide and the practice of hedge funds charging fees that funds are unable to charge, such as performance based fees.
Moody's and S&P are both offering new mutual fund products to financial intermediaries, bringing them into more direct competition with Reuters and Morningstar, says
The Wall Street Journal.
