Merrill Lynch has appointed
Tulio Vera as head of International Emerging Markets Research, part of the Global Fixed-Income Research Department.
Vera will be reporting to
Don Ullmann, director of Global Fixed income. In his new position, he will be managing the Latin American and European emerging-markets research teams and work in close partnership with the Asian emerging markets fixed-income and economics group.
The position of bond research head was formerly held by
Joyce Chang who is now working at Chase.
Vera previously worked at
ABN Amro and prior to that he had been head of Latin
American fixed-income research at Bear Stearns. His position at ABN Amro has not been filled.
