Morgan Stanley has tapped replacements to handle the funds run by star manager Hassan Elmasry and his team, Morningstar's Katie Rushkewicz reports in the Fund Times column. Elmasry, as previously reported, will depart Morgan Stanley in June to start his own company, and his team members plan to follow him there.

The international equity team headed up by William Lock and Peter Wright will manage the Van Kampen Global Franchise, Van Kampen Global Value Equity and their Morgan Stanley institutional counterparts.

The group led by Dennis Lynch will assume management duties for the Van Kampen American franchise.
