An explosion in bond ETFs has led to triple-digit growth rates for the relatively new products, Dow Jones Newswires
reports. Tom Anderson, head of ETF research at State Street Global Advisors
, told the wire service that the rapid growth should take away some business from mutual funds and individual bond sales. According to ICI data, bond ETFs took in $8.4 billion in inflows in the first 9 months of 2007, up from $3.7 billion in the same period of 2006.
