Lipper has come up with a answer for the question of how to rank target-date funds. Dow Jones reports that new research by Lipper, published today, ranks target-date funds on past performance and has recognized three companies whose funds have had the most consistency over the past three years. Coming out on top for the 12 quarters spanning from the fourth-quarter of 2004 through the third quarter of this year were T. Rowe Price Group Inc., Principal Financial Group Inc. and Fidelity Investments.
